A huge thank you to all the pupils, friends, families and staff that supported our wonderful Bingo night recently. The evening was an amazing success and fun was had by all. In total a staggering £516 was raised from the sale of bingo tickets, pie & peas and a very well-stocked tombola stall. Thank you to all those people who kindly donated prizes for the tombola. A special thanks is extended to Mrs Stanley, Mrs Dodd, Mrs Burfield and Mrs Charles for giving up their time and effort to organise such an enjoyable evening.

Harvest Festival Assembly
Yesterday afternoon Key Stage one performed their Harvest Festival assembly to the rest of the school and it was a brilliant success! The children spoke with confident clear voices, presented a range of high quality work and sang to us beautifully with some excellent dance moves as well. I was very proud to see some of the youngest children in our school acting with such confidence, showing pride in their learning.
In addition to the children’s input, Father Stephens also came to the assembly and explained to the pupils about the meaning behind harvest, and thanking them for all the generous contributions, which will be given to the M25, which has been running in Doncaster since 1994.
Thank you to everyone who donated items so generously, and a big well done to Key Stage one for a fantastic assembly!
This year in school we are really focusing on handwriting, making sure the children learn to form their letters properly and are writing in a cursive style.
Already we are starting to see transformations in children's handwriting and here we have a few examples of some of the fantastic work in year 4:
And here is a piece of work from a pupil in year 6 who has made exceptional progress with his hand writing! A huge well done!
First Day of the New School Year.
Welcome back to the new school year! Today was a fantastic start for the children at the beginning of the new academic year. There was a lovely atmosphere within school and it was a real pleasure to see all the children throughout school, settling in and getting back into their routines. I know that it is going to be a great half term, filled with fun, exciting topics which the children will really enjoy.
